Although many in the congregation can claim Highland roots, there is a distinct emphasis to reach out to all in the city – especially to the large student constituency including those from overseas. The communicant membership of the congregation currently stands at 94 and attendances at Sunday services average 150 in the morning and 80 in the evening. We have a crèche, Sunday School classes for children aged 3 to 11, a Bible class for secondary school youngsters from S1 to S5 and a Youth Fellowship for the student age group. Our Associate Minister and his wife are involved in a full time ministry to overseas students. In addition, there is a Ladies’ Fellowship, a Women’s Community Bible Study and a Senior Citizens Group. Being a Presbyterian denomination, our spiritual affairs are governed by a Kirk Session, which, in our congregation has 11 elected elders. The Deacons’ Court, made up of 5 deacons plus all the elders, is responsible for the congregation’s financial and property affairs.
